Get Serial No and Product No of HP Desktops and Laptops

There are so many times when people not able to find out their desktops or laptops serial no and product no.

In this article, we will share some tips to get Serial No, Product No & Warranty date of Dell/HP Desktops and Laptops.

HOW TO CHECK SERIAL NO. & PRODUCT NO.?

Step-1:

Go to START > RUN > Type CMD > Hit Enter

Once the command prompt opens, enter the following command to get the Serial No and Product No.

C:\> wmic csproduct get name , identifyingnumber

Here Identifying number denotes to Serial No and name denotes toProduct No.

HOW TO CHECK WARRANTY OF HP MACHINES?

Step-2:

Write down the Serial No and Product no. either from Step-1 or from the sticker pasted on your Laptop or Desktop.

Now open the below URL to check the Warranty.

Step-3:

Enter Serial No > select country “INDIA” and click on submit button to get the warranty status.

You will get the warranty status as shown in below snapshot.

Step-4:

If the warranty status is not available with above URL, check the same with below URL.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/weInput?cc=in&lc=en

Select country “INDIA” > Enter Serial No > Enter Product No > then hit enter to get the warranty status.

HOW TO CHECK THE WARRANTY OF DELL MACHINES?

Step-5:

• Open the below URL to check the Warranty of Dell desktop or Laptop.

http://www.dell.com/support/my-support/us/en/04/Products/?c=in&s=bsd&l=en

• Enter Serial No/ Service Tag No. and Hit Enter to get the Ship Date & other relevant details.
